Duke University Grad Photos | Durham Senior Photographer

This spring I had the pleasure of photographing three Duke University grads who have been friends since freshman orientation week! Rachel graduated with a BS in Biology, Lana with a BS in Computer Science, and Aasha with a BS in Neuroscience. These three were so much fun to work with, and I loved getting to document both their individual accomplishments and a friendship that lasted throughout their four years at Duke.

We started their grad photo session first thing in the morning at Duke Gardens where we had the entire space to ourselves. An early morning session is one of my favorite ways to photograph Duke grads, especially during busy graduation seasons. Campus is a little quieter and we have more freedom to move around and create a variety of photos without worrying about people in the background.

We captured plenty of photos of all three girls together and made time for individual portraits of each graduate too. Group grad sessions are such a great opportunity to get both. You can celebrate with the friends who made college memorable while still walking away with individual graduation portraits that feel like your own. These three made the session so easy and their friendship came through naturally in their photos. I wish Rachel, Lana, and Aasha all the best in their incredible future careers!
